Join Dr Anastasia Dukova and the Queensland Police Museum team with stories of Queensland police in the Great War

Police historian Dr Anastasia Dukova whose 2024 publication provides the impetus for the exhibition, will present her research of Queensland Police officers who served during World War I.

Werona Armstrong and Mila Andersson will contextualise and situate the Queensland Police in the lead up to the war and the experience of policing at home during the war years.

Curator, Lisa Jones will speak about some of the personal stories of officers who went to war which were uncovered through the research of the exhibition. And finally, Kat Figueiredo (pre-recorded) will illustrate some of the impacts of war on the police soldiers who returned.

This five-person presentation will offer further insight into the War and Police exhibition currently on show at the Queensland Police Museum. Staff will welcome guests to join them after the presentation in the exhibition space.
