This Anzac Day, we’re shining a spotlight on Queensland’s remarkable stories of service — from the Foot brothersopen_in_new, four of whom served in World War I but only two returned, to engineer Hugh Campbellopen_in_new, who narrowly survived the Battle of Messines, and beloved soprano Gladys Moncrieffopen_in_new, whose wartime performances lifted morale and brought a touch of home to troops overseas during both World Wars and the Korean War.
Patrons attending the Anzac Day Dawn Service in Brisbane are invited to gather around the Shrine of Remembrance from 3:30 am for a 4:28 am start. The Memorial Galleries will also be open from 5:30 am to 3 pm on Anzac Day to support your commemoration. (from website)
