Queensland State Archives
Queensland State Archives manages the State’s archives and records and makes public records available for use by present and future generations.
When researching your family tree, local history or Queensland history, Queensland State Archives is an invaluable facility, as custodian of the State’s largest and most significant collection of government records.
The building currently holds approximately 70 kilometres of public records including court records, inquest files, school admission registers, immigration records, maps and plans, and photographs.
Queensland State Archives hosts a variety of events each year including workshops, seminars, and behind-the-scenes tours.

The Reading Room, located at 435 Compton Road, Runcorn, is open:
Monday to Friday, 9am–4.30pm
the second Saturday of each month, 9am–4.30pm.
