Completed in 1862, Old Government House (OGH) was the home of Queensland’s first 11 Governors. It was the colonial hub of Brisbane, where laws and deals were made, grand balls were held, and Royalty stayed. Today, this beautifully restored sandstone building is a house museum and gallery for all to visit.

Free guided tours are available on request Tuesday, Thursday and Friday (from 10.30am). Find out who lived in the House and their family connections, how each of the stately rooms were used, the grand social gatherings that took place here, and the events that occurred at the House which helped shape Queensland's history. To book a tour or for further information please visit the Old Government House website .

OGH is part of QUT's Galleries & Museums, which includes the William Robinson Gallery and QUT Art Museum, offering a unique opportunity to experience an expanded cultural experience on your next visit.
