Backstage Pass - Behind the Scenes at Masonic Memorial Hall
Step Behind the Scenes: Backstage Pass at the Masonic Memorial Temple
Brisbane Living Heritage is excited to invite members to the next Backstage Pass event — a rare opportunity to explore the historic Masonic Memorial Temple on Sunday 26 October. (Registration is limited to Members ONLY. Memberships available HERE )
The Backstage Pass series was created to give our community something special: access to places not usually open to the public. These are the hidden corners, the working spaces, and the stories that sit behind the scenes of Brisbane’s most fascinating heritage sites. It’s about curiosity, discovery, and the chance to experience heritage in a more intimate way.
The Masonic Memorial Temple, located on Ann Street in the heart of Brisbane, is one of the city’s most striking and significant buildings. Built in the 1930s, it was designed as both a working Masonic meeting place and a memorial to those who served in the First World War. The Temple is renowned for its grandeur, symbolism, and beautifully detailed interiors, from marble staircases to stained glass and ornate lodge rooms.
Our guided Backstage Pass visit will unlock these hidden spaces and stories, offering members a unique perspective on the role the Masonic Memorial Temple has played in Brisbane’s cultural and social history.
Places are limited to ensure an intimate experience, so bookings are essential. Don’t miss this chance to step into one of Brisbane’s most fascinating heritage landmarks and see it from the inside out.
