The Mater Archives and Heritage Centre is located in the original Mater Private Hospital, a heritage listed building, designed by Robin Dods and built in 1910. It collects material which records the history of the Sisters of Mercy, the foundation and development of Mater Hospitals in Brisbane and the working life of their medical, nursing and other staff.

Guided tours available by prior arrangement.
