A wonderful opportunity to explore a typical 19th century fortress, concealed behind grassy embankments and surrounded by a water-filled moat. The museum provides a comprehensive display and interpretation of important aspects of Queensland's military and social history, from 1879 through to the 1950's.

On Sundays and Public Holidays, volunteer guides offer tours, sharing their knowledge and insights of Fort Lytton and the heritage it preserves. Educational and holiday programs are available. For upcoming events and canon firings follow the link below.
